Re: Stars 25K Sweat
I think you played it right, you had to isolate and get it heads up so Gavin didn't call. You got your hand in with the best of it, just bad luck. Congrats on the finish though man, GJ

Re: Stars 25K Sweat
With the action in front of you, you played it the only way you could. Good game Gavin, I missed the bust out.
Also, I'm really not sure what to make of swingys play it has definately been W/T but somehow he made it work. |

Re: Stars 25K Sweat
The mini raise i don't think is horrible if you plan on folding to a reraise. If you were going to call then it makes no sense with your stack size and blinds at 15/30K. You would have been better served to push and try and take down the blinds uncontested. If you miniraise and someone puts you all in you can still fold here and have 6.5BB and some FE for a future steal. to get those chips back. JMHO.

[/ QUOTE ] Good points, I think my mindset switched halfway through the hand. The min raise, while I still don't like it, was designed to help me get away from a re-raise. Now when I'm faced with the actual decision, I convinced myself that he had AK instead of an overpair. And yes, if I was gonna call the reraise, I 100% should have pushed from the beginning. Ugh, I royally screwed that up. |
