Re: Dealer mistake: OK to go on with the hand?
What if it's not the flop that's exposed early, but the river. Example:
2 players (I held AJo) Board: 3 A K 8 Player 1 bets, I raise, before player 1 (in #1 position) calls the dealer burns and turns the river (an A), realizes his mistake and tries to cover the card with his hand. Player 1 had not seen the card, but it has been exposed. The dealer then shows the A and puts it back in the deck, lets player 1 call and redeals the river (a 2). Check/check and of course player 1 shows K8o. I wasn't until later that I kicked myself for not calling for the floor. Would the rule that was sited apply to an improperly exposed river card also? |

Re: Dealer mistake: OK to go on with the hand?
Yes, The river comes back. The river card is shuffled back into the deck, the burns are left alone. One cut, no burn, (there's already been a burn), and the top card comes out as the "new" river. Anytime there are cards that are pre-mature in coming off the deck they come back.
