47s big draw, standard?
Villain is a 34/6 LAG who tries to be tricky. I don't see him as particularly good.
Standard Operating procedure with 100xbb stacks? Edit: FWIW I meant to push the flop but the slider got stuck. Re: 47s big draw, standard?
I would prefer leading here. Get some dead money in the pot, then if he raises, you can come over the top.

you need to learn how to hit your draws

Looks OK to me, except you should have just pushed all-in with the check-raise. Other option is to lead/reraise as someone else said.

you need to learn how to hit your draws [/ QUOTE ] Ya I think that's the biggest leak in my game The thought behind check/raising was I could get a followup bet from PFR and perhaps a call from the button before I push...whereas if I lead for a re-raise, button would almost certainly fold when PFR raises my lead. Any flaws in my thinking? KoW |

Re: 47s big draw, standard?
I have a lot to learn about NL ring play. Is this play really standard?
I can see calling the minraise in the BB I guess, but I'm definitely folding to the $3 reraise with a $10 pot. Is that a mistake? Obviously this is a very strong draw, but I'd still be very uncomfortable going to the felt with 7 high on this flop. Hero is a 35/65 underdog against a bigger flush draw, a 40/60 underdog against a set, 50/50 against a two pair, a 56/44 favorite over a pair, and 65/35 or 70/30 against overcards depending on whether one is a diamond. On average this hand will likely be a coinflip if you get called. I guess your fold equity plus the fact that there is already money in the pot gives you +EV here, but I think I would be sorely tempted to wait for a better spot. I admit I play more NL tournaments than cash games, so maybe this is a big lesson I need to learn. Comments? |

What is your default play in this spot against a LAG? KoW |

This post is great because of your location.
Edit: Oh, and it's also accurate. -Trail |
