Absent any reads on BB, I don't like the call. You've got a good stack, only getting something like 2.5-1 odds, and don't need to make dangerous plays.

However, full disclosure, I have a strong animosity towards KJ, which has brought me nothing but bad luck (either in my or my opponents' hands).

I had been stealing quite a few blinds up to this point, so my thought was that BB knew that. I put him on a mid pocket pair.

He ended up having KK, so I was a little off He took the the pot down. On a good note though, this play set up some nice pots for me in the next couple of orbits. Players seemed to view me as reckless, and payed off my solid hands.

With than in mind, can this type of play be profitable at this stage of a tournament?

Thanks again.

i like the stal from MP1 but when you are reraised by the BB you have to figure him for a hand. You aren't in a traditional steal position so he isn't going to be popping it without some sort of hand that you are at best flipping with and likeley has you dominated. I just lay this one down but keep up the steals.
