Re: Voice control software for Poker ?
VR software, specifically Dragon has gotten quite good, once properly trained. I use it quite a bit for report writing. In that context though, proofreading is still needed. It is far from perfect, but the latest version is the first truly useable version.

Re: Voice control software for Poker ?
OK im speaking to someone on their forums , there seems to be some confusion as to whether i can use the software to make key strokes outside of a text input application. The software is mainly designed for inputting text.
Will let you know what i find out. Paul. |

Some things that may be worth investigating. I’ve been wondering if any of this stuff would be suitable for poker.

Re: Voice control software for Poker ?
Yes it is fairly easy to program DNS to move the mouse cursor or press any key including ctrl, shift, left mouse key, etc. You don't need to be in a text application to do this. So it would be no problem setting it up to fold, call, or raise on multiple tables.
Using a microphone is not that great though. You have to either wear a headset or mount a freestanding mike. I have wrist problems as well that precede me playing online poker. Two things have reduced the pain quite a bit. One is to use a touch pad instead of a mouse. The other is to use the free program mousetool, which automatically clicks when you stop moving the mouse cursor. It takes a while to get used to both of these things but the reduced pain is worth it. |
