I've seen too many people play top pair passively that way and then wake up only when they trip up.

The other hand he'll have a decent amount of the time is a draw that missed (maybe JT) and he's bluffing the scare card, hoping you'll fold. Unless he's a total moron he won't call the raise with no pair (although this does happen).

I just call.

I can't say I'm a fan. Is he really going to have a 9 or a smaller pair more often than a Qx? I don't find it likely.
