My thought on the hand was that the suspicious reraise preflop either meant that the villain had AA, AK, or KK. I dont understand why people do the whole min reraise thing, but it usually seems to be with those hands. So, on the flop since he overbets the pot, I put him on AA or KK and fold. Is my reasoning correct, or am I restricting his range of hands too much?

I would call postflop because if he min-raises before the flop with aces why would he bet big on the flop?. Also notice hes last to act so he might be bluffing. This doesnt mean he wont have AA or KK (or JJ) but the times he has AJ,AK,flush draw, compensates for this. EDIT: push post-flop, i forgot the moron still has like 200 in his stack.

I think your hand might have been good here. Would he really want to blast you out of the pot with AA or KK (or JJ)? I think you have to push here, and if he shows AA or KK, bite your lip and move on.

Any reason not to bet the rainbow flop with an overpair? I think you were up against AJ here and he was taking this pot right there with you checking before.

Min-raises are hella common. I wouldn't put him on a super narrow range preflop. Post-flop his bet looks more like TPTK than anything else, but who knows. I think the long run favors pushing.

I have two chains of thought here.

1st thought:
I do not like the check after the flop. You have t695. Bet t200 into the pot to give anyone on a flush draw the improper odds to call. Also, it will better define your hand. If he comes back over the top, and you really think he has AA or KK you could consider a fold or, if you think he has AK then push becasue of the 2.16 to 1 pot odds that you will be getting if he calls you.


2nd thought:
His larger than pot sized bet after the flop doesn't seem like AA or KK. It sounds more like AK or a flush draw, maybe TT. If you put him on any of these hands then push (once again the pot odds of 2.16 to one are too good to pass up when you are the favorite.

I could be very wrong in my thinking and would certainly love to hear from others on this hand.

CO's raise of t450 is very peculiar, since he has t650 on the table. If you read him as a savvy player, you gotta wonder why he didn't push. Maybe he is hoping for a call? That doesn't make sense either because a bet in the range of t250 - t300 would suit that purpose better.

I think he's just a poor player, so I would push. No guarantees.
