Re: Strong Draw with top Pair
I don't really like the preflop raise (although I don't think it's a big mistake either), but I like the way you played this hand on the flop and beyond.

Re: Strong Draw with top Pair
1st you're posting waaaay too many hands too quickly. slow down.
2nd: any reads? my guess: one flush draw, one paired Q, maybe KJ straight. call down. |

Re: Strong Draw with top Pair
Flop: Nice bet, you raised PF, still have overcards and quality open ended.
Turn: Tough situation. Both opponents wake up here for some reason. I'd call here. 8J and KJ now have a straight and someone may have a bigger Q, but I don't think i'm worrying much about either. River: I like it, show it down cheaply. Travis |

Re: Strong Draw with top Pair
nice hand
You're getting 5.5-1 when it's 2 bets back to you on the turn and you have 8 outs if you're behind. Then I'd have to call the river for one more bet in a big pot. |

Re: Strong Draw with top Pair
The preflop raise is marginal, but good if you either has a decent shot at the blinds or your opponents play bad.
The flop bet is a must, you can have up to 14 outs and it may help you take the pot down unimproved. Folding to the turnraise would be insane as you have 8 outs to a straight. KJ might be out, but very often the straight outs are good and fairly often a J might cut it. If the opponents generally are passive, then you can fold the river as you are looking at KJ,QT,Q9,T9,33,99,TT,AQ. The pot was 3way on the turn, so the last guy should be expecting to get called. |

Re: Strong Draw with top Pair
Table was playing kind of tight. I thought I had a chance for a steal. That's the reason for the pre-flop raise. The river call was the real question mark for me.

Re: Strong Draw with top Pair
I like your line here. I think the 3-bet on the turn would have slowed me down on the river as well. I don't think you can fold on the river. The pot is big, and you have a decent hand.

*grunching*
w/o reads, your pf raise is tough to say. I likely would have just called it. rest of the play is exactly how i'd do it. |

Bet the flop? I say for sure, and call a raise if necessary. The turn raises scare me, but I think its a call. You will be getting something like 10:1 to call, and your OESD is better than 6:1 to hit. River? I call here, but probably beat. |
