Default Problems accessing Empire?

Is anyone else having a problem accessing Empire? I tried this afternoon and again tonight and am not able to log in. I double click the icon and nothing happens.

me too, Ctrl+Alt+Del it and go to end process, end empire. For some reason it keeps running sometimes unless you do this.

I had the same problem Wednesday night. I uninstalled and then re-installed the Empire software. It worked fine after that. But then Thursday night when I double-clicked the Empire icon nothing happened. So I uninstalled and re-installed the software again. Hope this doesn't become a daily event.

This has happened to me on two consecutive days as well. Both times I simply restarted and was once again able to use my icons to log in.

Thanks for the Ctrl+alt+del information. Next time . . . how's that for faith? lol

I've had to CAD it every time to get the stupid thing open since the update. It's also been happening with Party. Only happens if I've already played since the last time the computer was booted. Something isn't right, obviously.

Sharkbait,

Are you by chance a Comcast user? Comcast is having tons of DNS issues - I had trouble early in the week until I changed my DNS server.

Glad it's not just me. I have to uninstall and reinstall each time. After install, it works great until I exit program (it exits fine - I don't have to Ctrl-Alt-Delete). But the next time I click on icon, it won't load.

I have it on two computers, both pretty new Dells. Empire stills works fine on the Celeron, but on my Pentium 4, since the upgrade, it won't load again after exiting. I have to reboot the computer, and then it works fine.

Anyone know how to tell if the Empire program is still running even though you have exited?
