I get very frustrated with the notion of "charging flush draws." This post deals with this notion very well.

I thought it was in SS, and I wanted to make sure us microers get it.

YOu could have just PM'ed me with this link rather then making it publicly known that I suck.

I see "charge the flush draw" at least three times a day, and I'm not exaggerating. Everybody in micro needs this reminder (or new information), myself included. |

[/ QUOTE ] Every poker player without exception has this preconception, as did I. I raised and raised to 'push out flushes'. I didn't learn any better till EM came along and whipped me into line. Probably a good .25BB/100 in my false knowledge too. |

Another reason why I hate that book. Never realised this. Thankyou very much.

i loved that post. luckily i found it early in my poker career.
note: the next step, however, is knowing when to bet even with the flush draw out there because you still want to make them pay to draw out on you. this hand is a good example of learning when to call versus bet. |

I know about "charging" the flush draw....
I know about "pumping" the flush draw... What I don't know is... How to stop "another" players card from hitting when I "charge"... And how to get "my" card to hit when I'm "pumping"... |

pattern maps my friend, pattern maps. all unnecessary pumping will stop, and charging will become elementary.
