Default I know I messed this up, when should the money go in?

Very early in a Stars $30 + 3. (12th hand of tournament).
No strong reads, button had LAGgy tendencies thus far, and had just doubled up on a suckout.

I'm thinking I should have check-raised the turn, but I thought he'd bet the river big to try to take it down..

Advice on all streets appreciated.

I'm prolly wrong, but I prefer to let the preflop raiser open the betting on the flop, he's directly behind you and you can call to close the action or re-raise if there are too many callers (ie. flush/straight draws you'd rather eliminate).

On the turn, it appears that ibeenfound took a stab at the pot, as you represent a whiffed flush draw or counterfeited top pair. I think I'd lead out to avoid giving a free card.

Lead at the river for value. I don't think either player was going to put in another bet the way the hand was played.

Check raise the flop, bet out on the turn and reraise if neccessary, bet the river.

With the way you played the flop I would definately raise the turn, flush draws might stay or original raiser may think it is a bluff by you if he has top pair and come over the top of you, if you are going to play the flop that way you have to reraise the turn, you induced another bet, this is what you wanted to set up on the flop, take advantage.
