This is a really tough hand. But judging by your description of the table I think it's probably best to go ahead and fold when it comes back you capped on the flop. If you do call the flop since you have no back door draws there are only 2 cards that will help you and 11 cards that will make you fold (A,K,or,J).

If there were a T on the flop to go along with the J then it might make calling easier.

I disagree. I think it was the wrong move, you gained a lot of info from the coldcall, and were lucky in this case. Disregarding the ensuing action (in order to be non-results oriented), you missed some value here.
