Skipping 3/6? - Page 4

I wouldn't move up if you're not comfortable with 3/6 as everyone else has said. I just want to add that there are some really good tables at 3/6 mixed in with more fairly tight tables. You just need to find them.

You shouldn't even begin to think about whether or not you can beat this game after 10k hands, that is no where near enough hands. I play 20k a week and have easily had 25k breakeven or loss streaks.

My only advice would be to keep taking shots at 3/6 until you figure it out, 5/10 is not going to be any easier. Once you are comfortable at 3/6 and you have a $1000-$1500 in your bankroll start taking shots at single-tabling 5/10. If you hit any rough spots shorten your sessions and give them your full attention. Review them in PT and post troublesome hands.

3/6 is tougher and different. More aggression, more TAGs. I think the key is table selection. I move a lot until I find a good table -- VPIP 25/35. Occasionally, I even find a table with no multi-tablers on it. The good tables rarely last long, but you can beat them at a good rate while they last.

What I hate is finding a juicy table and then being card dead for 6 orbits while the TAGs slowly move in. Sux.

I think you're getting some good advice here. The game is beatable, but it sounds like you've got to make some adjustments in your game.

Also, 5/10 has very different table texture. It's the lowest level at Party where there just aren't that many players/tables. Even more so than 3/6, you're always playing the same opponents. It appears to get worse as you go higher except possibly for 15/30.

Makes table selection harder cuz all the tables seem to have similar textures -- not all but a much higher percentage. Last time I counted, I think there were maybe 20 5/10 full games running. Compared to lower levels that's a tiny number.
