Re: AQ hand
What would they raise on the river with that doesn't have hero beat, though?
Maybe this isn't a bad time... |

Re: AQ hand
Some players will automatically bet if you check the river.

Some players will automatically bet if you check the river. [/ QUOTE ] i'm talking about betting, and getting raised on the river. If I check, I'm calling for sure. |

Re: AQ hand
I don't think you'll gain much by betting here. If you bet and they fold you won't gain anything, and if you get raised you will loose two bets instead of one.

Re: AQ hand
I clench my teeth and value bet in these situations...I think that's what you have to do.

Oops. But i still think value betting is correct here.

Easy.
The river is easy:
Bet, but fold to a raise (from anyone). The fact that this table is "pretty passive" makes this the correct play even moreso. Adam |

Re: AQ hand
[ QUOTE ]
I'm such a calling station on the river...If it's raised by either one of them, im calling. If you aren't going to call a raise on the river, then why bet? EDIT: I know sometimes it's correcto to bet/fold...but I don't think so in this scenario. [/ QUOTE ] value bet |

That King is too likely to complete a strait [/ QUOTE ] You're forgetting that, save for an AJ gutshot, the King does not complete any additional straights than were already completed on the turn. Adam |
