Default Hand from the WSOP Step 2

The check at the end is lame, my thought at the time was that I wouldn't get called with a worse hand... But, I assume a bet here is the right play. Just wanted comments on my line (leading up to the river check):

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t50 (8 handed) converter

UTG (t796)
UTG+1 (t990)
MP1 (t945)
MP2 (t1105)
Hero (t1532)
Button (t1020)
SB (t1007)
BB (t2605)

Preflop: Hero is CO with 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
4 folds, Hero raises to t100, 2 folds, BB calls t50.

Flop: (t225) 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB bets t50, Hero raises to t225, BB calls t175.

Turn: (t675) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets t300, BB calls t300.

River: (t1275) 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB checks, Hero checks.

Final Pot: t1275

600 on the river

you can't picture a worse hand calling? AJ, AK, AQ, possibly the jack of a maniac

Decent up to the river though? I agree, it was a horrible move on my part... I'm still at the point in my game where I lose concentration during play.

yeah up to the river it's sweet.

the flop, you rereaised big- and he still called. he has an ace at worst

so you back down the betting a bit to keep him there, normally on the turn i try to tie him in even more betting 2/3rds on the turn or so

and on the river, i may even push- make it look like a kamikaze kk or something. a value bet may be better, but since hte person has a big stack they may go out of their way to make an "amazing" call
