Default 94o 8-way flop

I always wondered - what is proper play postflop on blinds multiway with hand like J2 on a flop 39J with 39suited or with 2TT and your 2Q or 76 and flop 742 etc.

What do you usually do here? Check/(fold or raise button bet) or bet/(fold to 3-bet) or just check-call to see - what will happen on turn? Anyway i always become a bit frustrated while playing trash-no good draw multiway.

Go for a checkraise on the flop, someone nearly always bets.

I'm all for being aggressive and I definitely have to fight the LAGgy instincts in me, but in this case, I check-fold the flop. There's 7 opponents! You only have TPWK. Look for better spots to be aggressive. Multiple opponents could have a sets, straight draws, or top pair better kicker.

EASY CHECK-FOLD.

I would try for the flop check/raise. I don't think the flop getting checked thru is a disaster for you, because with this many opponents and so many potential bad cards in the deck you won't see a showdown unless you like the turn or thin the field.

With 8 players in, let's say you check. Now there's a bet and, say, 2 calls. Can you really fold top pair for one small bet getting 11:1? Doesn't it make sense to take one off and see what the turn card and action are?

There is an article in Inside the Poker Mind by John Feeney that discusses this. You should definately check, and evaluate the action behind you. With a bet and several callers, I would fold, but if a loose late position person bets, its time to raise....

I think usually the best line is do check and see who bets, if someone in LP bets, check-raise to try to clear the field. If someone in early or mid position bets, usually fold, barring any specific reads you have

The problem is that in that case you are likely to be drawing to 3 outs, and 11:1 isn't enough pot odds for that slim draw which might or might not even be good.
