I paid extra for 2day (not much more) and got them in just that. Ordered Tuesday and had then Thursday. I paid for 2day because I had a game that Friday night.

I've had nothing but compliments on them... most folks think they're from a real casino that's gone belly up.

Mine came to Nashville via UPS ground in 2 days. Did not pay for 2nd day, they just sent then ground.

Great chips. I love them. They stack so beautifully too.

Default n00b question...

Hi guys,

all the chips on this site look very nice; my question is why are the true clay chips so much more expensive?

the Desert Sands chips sure do look nice, and 900 chips would fit just about any # of people i'd ever have over to play...

You'll need a chip manufacturer for a definitive answer, my opinion is that the actual clay chips are more expensive because the materials and process are more expensive. If you like the ceramics there's absolutely no reason to get clay, the NJ's and chipcos are fine. The deal available for those DS chips is phenomenal.

I'm not much of an impulse buyer, but all the glowing reviews won me over. i can't wait!

i play typically w/ 5 or 6 other guys sometimes side games, sometimes tourney, so i mixed my order:

$0.25 - 100
$0.50 - 150
$1 - 100
$5 - 50

$25 - 200
$100 - 200
$500 - 75
$1000 - 25

...tho, i'm wondering if i shouldn't have just gone one way or another.

did you already order? what i did was go all cash game. we can still tourny with them; when we do, though, you get 200-300 in chips instead of the usual 1000. no big deal...

i figured my breakdown:

.25: 275
1: 325
5 275
25 25

would take me from .25/.5 limit through 5/10, and NL ring games of 1/2 or so.

so, it's possible this could be a cash set for a lifetime, plus a tourny set that'll do even if i decide to never buy a set specifically for the job (although i'm clearly gonna buy pharaoh's for that; but that's beside the point).
