but, thinking about it...betting the flop can't be right.

Sure it can. While it probably isn't best to bet the flop against this opponent, TT is a great hand to bet into a A99 flop since we give KK-JJ the chance to make a very bad fold. With KK it is probably better to check and call since it serves us little purpose to fold out QQ-TT (and an ace won't fold).

So I don't really like the bet into a 35/5 guy because I don't think he will fold a better hand often enough here. But against a 20/5 guy (a weak tighty [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]) I think that betting the flop would be a fine move since he will fold better hands quite often.

OoooOOOooo... I like this! Generally when I see the A I think 'bah, someone's got an Ace' and check/fold.

But I like this line of thinking... alot.
