Default Casinos in England

Does anyone know of any regular limit or NL hold-em ring games or tournaments in England, primarily the North as I live in Manchester. I've looked at the casinos in Manchester and they seem pretty woeful in this respect, surely there must be enough of a market for holdem in England for some regular games at a casino somewhere !?!

Cash games in the UK and Ireland are pretty much all pot limit. Looking at the link, the tournaments in northern England seem to be pretty much all pot limit too. The difference between pot limit and not limit is much less than that between pot limit and limit.

I'm in the same boat as you Sulphate. I live in London and there are no live cash limit games, only pot- or no-limit, so I spend most of the time at home playing online, with the occasional excursion to a poker club for a no-limit tournament. Although not as fun, it's better for the bottom line (more hands/hour, multi tabling).

good luck with salford, its horrible. its been maybe 8 months since i was there last, but everything about the tournament was terrible. walsall is the best ive been to, but apparently the gutshot in london is better. no limit anywhere though, just really easy PL games

Thanks for the advice Rekwob

How do you mean when you say terrible ? Poorly organized, rubbish players (although this should be good)...??

I don't drive so Salford is really the only live game I can get to. Do you think it would be a waste of my time ?

There is a new 20-table card room opening within the next week in Manchester city centre, poker-dedicated, 71 North Western St, about 5 mins drive from Piccadilly Train Station, tourneys and cash games, more info - Mark 0161 211 6829
