Most Feared Tourney Players...NL Holdem
Daniel N., Ivey, Greenstein, Chan, Flack, Howard, Juanda, Siedel, Sklansky (yes, David...how would you like to make a big $$ final table and look over at him), T.J., Gus Hansen (he didn't make all those final tables because he was simply lucky to say nothing of his wins), Helmuth (ditto), Chip Reese (if he had the time, he'd be dangerous IMO), Forrest, Farha, Doyle B.(see Reese...howed u like to have to play NL with Doyle everyday even at 71, no thanks)and yes, Annie D...getting better with time. Please add to the list or delete, All comments r welcome. |

Annie Duke?
I wouldn't necessarily consider her most feared. She's a good poker player, but like Daniel Negreanu mentioned in a Canadian magazine, she may be "over-rated". As to your list, I would probably add Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi, Erick Lindgren, Carlos Mortenson, Men "The Master" Nguyen, David Pham, Scotty Nguyen, and Marcel Luske. That's all that are coming to mind right now. |

Re: Most Feared Tourney Players...NL Holdem
Forgot @ Scotty N., no question, feel "Men" may be over the hill in THIS company, Carlos, OK, fair enough. I wouldn't underrate Annie, she seems to have the passion, knowledge and brother. I think she's a favorite over, say, any other women at this time and 'has been there' a number of times ie, big tourneys, big pressure etc. She walks the walk. |

Re: Most Feared Tourney Players...NL Holdem
In Limit I give the nod to Jeniffer, but currently I think Annie has found her stride and will continue to grow as a player (I may be wrong)...Jen has had so many awful personal troubles as well...in a 3 out of 5 I go with Annie over any woman NL player at this time. |

Re: Most Feared Tourney Players...NL Holdem
I've never played with any of these guys, so it's hard for me to evaluate them (especially the ones I haven't seen a lot on TV). However, according to Barry G, NLHE is definitely not Farha's best game.
I would replace him with John Hennigan. Even though he's not a NL specialist either, he's certainly a very capable NL player. More importantly, Daniel N called Hennigan the most talented player he's ever seen, and said that he was capable of thinking on a higher level than anyone else, with the possible exception of Ted Forrest. |

(yes, David...how would you like to make a big $$ final table and look over at him), [/ QUOTE ] Id feel alot better than looking over and seeing the first 8 people on you list. Honestly, id also feel better than looking over and seeing say....Matusow. Laugh if you must, Matusow is a better NLH tourney player. And an exceptionally aggressive player at times who can make big calls. Thats a scary combination. |

I don't think you really want to see D'Agostino, either.
And I really wouldn't want to see Raymer, either. I mean, I'd rather see Farha or Forrest or Annie Duke than either of these guys at this point. |

Re: Most Feared Tourney Players...NL Holdem
Yes, this is an intimidating lineup to have acroos the table to look at for sure. Especially Doyle. He has a very intimidating presence. I'm not sure if you mean for ability or presence. You might mean ability. But i'm referring to table presence(however that is spelled). These guys are scary looking. Even Annie can be. She likes to stare you down and stuff. It's a little annoying too. She comes of very arrogant.
