Wow, I think I have seen every episode of that series and had no clue. I always just figured the higher speeds were hard on the warp core or engines.

In the movie Star Trek IV, Spock figures out a way to process old Dilithium so in the later TV shows and movies obtaining Dilithium is never really an issue. Cheers, Swede |
