Default My kings to his aces.....what are the odds?

It has happened to me many times before and it is one of the worst situations that you can be put in preflop. You have cowboys out of position and he has aces. Is there really much you can do in this situation? What is the probability that this would happen in a 6 handed game? how about a 10 handed game?

Given that you have KK there are 50 unknown cards left, there are 1,225 ways to choose 2 cards out of those 50 of which 6 of those combinations make AA. This would be 1 out of 204, or 0.004897959. Multiply this number by the number of other people playing to find the probability that at least one person has AA. Roughly speaking it would be 33 -1 against 6 handed and about 19.4 to 1 10 handed.

If you want the probability that at least one person has AA and at least one person has KK in a given hand before it is dealt it would be roughly 1,355 to 1 six handed and 487 to 1 10 handed.
