Is Omaha H/L better than HE for clearing a bonus?
I've enjoyed learning O8 to break up the hours of HE. If the pots are bigger, there will be more raked hands, so isn't this a pretty good alternative for bonus whoring? Anybody have any figures of raked hands / hr vs HE?

there will be less hands per hour in O/8 than HE, also the variance in O/8 will be greater than HE.

Re: Is Omaha H/L better than HE for clearing a bonus?
I recently played a mixture of limit O8 and PLO as a bonus clearing exercise recently in order to mix things up a bit and found that the additional limpers lead to a higher percentage of raked hands compared to limit Hold Em.
I did find that the games ran slower and there were fewer hands per hour so I'm not convinced that there is any significant advantage. However, as a way to break up the monotony, I'd highly recommend it. Sheriff |

I'd say it's around .8 the raked hands/hr of hold'em (full ring - 6max is much closer).
A much higher % are raked, but you're getting significantly fewer deals/hr. |

No, because HE hands/hr > O8B hands/hr. Plus in my experience, it's been more difficult to multitable O8B than HE but that could just be since I'm an O8B newbie.

On the same lines, when clearing Paradise GRANNY I did 7CS, then switched to 7CS Hi/Lo. At .50/1 you have (a) 8 out of 10 hands raked, (b) no antes meaning you can just ohh so wait and pick your spots and (c) people who can't play, and will refuse to fold a pair of aces, even if their opponent is raising them every street with 89TJ of diamonds showing(a pleasant memory).
