Re: Can you guys explain to me :
Basically, bonuses are your way of taking money from poker rooms. Sure, you generate rake, but the bonus usually is more than 100% rake. The poker rooms keep track of how much you're making off of the bonus, so if you're not giving them any revenue, then they don't have a percentage of revenue to give back to your affiliate.

Re: Can you guys explain to me :
This is how I understand it. Rakeback is given based on Monthy Gross Revenue(MGR). This is the amount of rake you pay in a given month. Say your MGR is $1000, your rakeback would be given accordingly depending on your percentage. When you are clearing a bonus, the raked hands that you play count towards clearing the bonus, not towards MGR. Thus your MGR is lower for the month and your rakeback is less.
Absolute and UB are exceptions. Raked hands played at these sites can count towards both bonuses and MGR. |

[/ QUOTE ] that is not a totally accurate explanation. you are always generating MGR whether you have a pending bonus or not, but once the bonus is actually awarded, then that amount is deducted from the MGR you have accumulated thus far in the billing period. if for some reason you were generating rake under a bonus but did not actually clear the bonus before the end of the month, then the MGR earned up to that point would still be applicable towards your affiliate commission. Re: Can you guys explain to me :
The simple answer is yes, you CAN have your cake
and eat it too. The bonuses work against your RB, but it is still better than not getting one or the other...... Math-wise you "reduce" your bonus by the amount of the RB, in effect. |
