[ QUOTE ]
Button cold calls with high card strength or suited-connectors but he is timid and doesnt isolate me; his range after the flop raise is narrow--I approximate QJ-QT, A7, 66-99, 89, 76.

Then we're down to just how much of a donk SB is. You seem to think that you're ahead of him at least a third of the time here, in which case, excellent raise. But it seems doubtful that you're going to chase him off of something like 88 or 99 given the descript, in which case you might have to find a fold anyway -- does he call in the SB, call the flop, and lead the turn with something that isn't ahead of sevens? I mean, he's a donk, but . . . shees! Donks are allowed to have hands that beat a pair of sevens . . .

The wonderful thing about the donk is that he can have almost anything from quad sixes to three deuce; in the end he folds to the turn raise closing the action getting 12/1.

If SB is really that stupid (and apparently he is given he folded the turn), have to say good raise, though you lost the hand in the end.
