Default tri-color chips

I played with these in a home game last weekend and I like them a ton. Apparently they do have a metal insert but you can't tell by shuffling/dropping them on the table and they sound and feel excellent. Does anyone have a set and can tell me what they think?

If I hear good things I'm gonna put in a bid on the ones on ebay, unless someone can give me a good reason not to.

That's so funny, I played with these in a home game too last weekend (Sunday). I bought a set of 600 of these chips a while back and just recently gave them away to my friend as a birthday present. I wanted to upgrade to better chips anyway.

These chips are great - I had a tough time parting with them. They have a clay chalky feel to them and have a nice sound (It doesn't have that metal clingy sound when you splash them together like dice chips). When I bought it I honestly thought they were 100% clay like the advertisement but later I learned better - it's "clay composite." Still, it's much much better than the plastic dice chips that people claim to be 100% clay.

I have a few samples of those. They're not bad, but if I was going to spend 30c a piece or more on them, I'd have to think really hard about plain circle-square mold chips in actual real clay from pokerchips.com. They're only 50c each, right?

But yes, I understand why the OP likes them. Although I wouldn't say they feel chalky or clay-like -- to me they feel more like hard rubber.

Plain Roman mold chips with no spots from PC.com at $0.35 each.

Edge spot chips from PC.com (no inlay or hot stamp), $0.50.

I'll chime in here and echo the general consensus - very good chips and a worthwhile investment.
