Default UB $10 MTT, Pls critique my preflop KK play

After this hand played out, I received some criticism. I was told that given the circumstances at the time(regardless of outcome) I should have put the all-in on AA as this is a typical AA move. Do you see anything wrong with this hand as I played it? Assume I have no reads on the all-in player except that he has been playing solid. Thanks!

So he re-raised you preflop.

If that by itself is enough to put someone on AA, then this game is easier than I thought.

Your pf raise is too big. You are discouraging action with a monster hand. 900-1200 is sufficient, and I lean towards the 900 end of the range. You want the Ax guys to call.

Editing- misread the hand initially...

As it stands, no reason to fold those unless you've played with him long enough to know that AA is the ONLY hand he'll limp Re-raise with.

If he thinks you're a bluffer type, or just trying to pick up the pot, might he do this with KK, QQ, JJ, AK, maybe AQs?

Interesting. When it got to me there were 4 callers (including small blind) in the hand for a pot of 1500. Now, the general rule I've heard is 3xBB + 1BB for each limper. This would be $450+ 3.5*300 == 1450 (3.5 cause i count small blind as half a limper). I overshot that by 350 because I'd have been happy to just take the pot given how big it was with all the limpers. But I wanted at most one caller. Obviously you don't agree with that. How many callers do you want for you KK?

ughh im getting careless reading these unedited HH's. Raise was ok I guess, still an easy call once he pushes though.
