Default flop bottom 2 from SB

UB 5 handed $.50/1.00

No reads except that MP is a moron. This hand made me feel silly.

I'm in BB with 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], UTG and MP limp, button and SB fold

Flop: 8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
I bet, UTG raises, MP calls, I 3-bet, UTG caps, MP calls, I call

Turn: 3 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
What's your plan?

Check. Call if UTG bets and MP calls. Fold if UTG bets and MP raises. Fold if UTG checks and MP bets.

I think I end up putting on a schoolgirl uniform and check/call from here. Unless UTG is an absolute maniac, I can't see him capping with anything less than two-pair (some aggro players would do this with overpairs, but I severely doubt he has QQ-AA due to the lack of pre-flop action), and if that is true you beat nothing of what he holds, and are likely drawing to three outs at best (but you have no idea which three).

Now if the third diamond did not come, I would be more inclined to pick up the pace -- he may very well have been on a flush draw that he was jamming on the flop for equity reasons.

Entity: Why fold if UTG checks and MP2 bets? Check-raise concerns from the flop aggressor, or the fact that MP2 won't be betting out here unless he really likes his hand?

With no reads, I'd have to say UTG has a set or top 2 pair. Check the turn and try to get to the river cheap.

Ahh, but it's shorthanded and I always get fouled up here.

I would out on the turn, and call if raised. And I would most likely check/call the river. But that's just me.

I still think my turn check was a little weak, but it's close.

I also shat myself when I saw MP's hand, but it's kinda irrelevant.

Thoughts?

MP2 just tagged along for the ride on the flop, so I would suspect him of being on the [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] or straight draw. But then, I am no Entity...

I agree. I could never play this well. But, what about my play?
