Ugh, they punked me.
Bah... f'ers.
I put up a good fight but I was the new guy and rolled through my 65BB in about 2 hours... it was an absolutely crazy game. The bastard sitting to my right limp-reraised me FOUR times in a row. I laid three of them down and then took a stand when he did it the fourth time. He folded, I showed him 55 and we went about business. Awesome, they know I'll gamble. Got outdrawn for about $200 three hands before I busted... KK w/AK3 showing when we pushed... ATo calls me and gets perfect perfect to boat on me... I sure could have used that $450. Busted when I had 7d7h board 345 (two diamonds), I bet out half my stack and got checkraised all in. Getting nearly 4:1 I felt the call was neccesary. I wasn't getting the correct odds but the guy that pushed could have done it with AK unimproved. He showed me his A2s for the straight and I didn't catch my 6. Small whine post but I'm sure as hell going back to that game... I'll take $500 next time... those guys are NUTS! Everyone needs to get out there and find some games like this, screw giving the damn casinos $15+/hr to sit. |

[/ QUOTE ] This is not perfect perfect. assuming board has the Ac3c and he has AsTs you can win by getting the following combos: quad aces: turn Ah river Ad aces full of threes, 6 ways: turn Ad river 3h turn Ad river 3s turn Ad river 3d turn Ah river 3h turn Ah river 3s turn Ah river 3d Aces full of tens, 6 ways: turn Ad river Td turn Ad river Tc turn Ad river Th turn Ah river Th turn Ah river Tc turn Ah river Td This would be perfect perfect: AA vs TT flop AJJ turn T river T. There are no other valid combos. Perfect perfect means there is only 1 combination of 2 cards that can win for you. It's no fun, and I believe 989-1 but I'm too lazy to load calc.exe. |

holy nit! [/ QUOTE ] What's nitty about it? You got caught with runner-runner, not perfect-perfect. BIG difference. |

Re: Ugh, they punked me.
The whole correction could have gone like this:
Corrector: "That's runner runner, not perfect perfect." Me: "Oh yeah, my fault." There was no need for the extended probability lesson. That's the nit. |

Running Jacks would split the pot, so he has two different perfect-perfect hands to get away from it. How about we just go with the old straight-flush draw? AcAh vs 3s2s on a AdAs8s flop. 32 guy has to catch both 4s and 5s in order to win, and there's no chance of a split. |
