I question whether you knew you were double gutted until noted above.

Your post says "I am a fish" which I took as you simply saying that you hit a gut shot straight against the guy. Otherwise you would have made note of the fact that you had 8 outs and had borderline odds to call the flop and turn action.

You defended with crap suited cards which is also borderline ok. Calling the limp reraise is also forgiveable.

Just the title of the post made it seem like you had a gutter and fished this guy out.

What's borderline about it? Nothing that I see.

The first call may be borderline. Folding to the 3-bet though would be pretty bad.

The pot had 9 small bets. It was bet and raised so it is 2 small bets to you to call for your 8 outs. 12 small with 2 to call is 6 to 1 pot odds. You have a 17% chance of hitting so maybe not borderline but right on.

My point being you have the correct odds so why are you a fish?

the preflop call could be considered fishy, although I didnt think it was too bad at the time. a little loose, no doubt.

Make that "the pot had 9 small bets + he has close to 1/3 equity" and you'll see why it's not borderline.
