nope...just tough luck. With no raises you have to assume you're beat here.

Good to see you're sticking to it after I reamed you on one of your first posts.

Just take comfort in the fact that you should have lost a lot more money on this hand, and that your opponents are dumb.

clearly, anyone who calls when the board pair has trips. Just kidding, nothing short of clairvoyance would tell you trip 6's were out there. You played the hand perfectly.

Why you say that? I'd say going for the overcall on his part is probably the better play.

Shhh. I was trying to make him feel better

I wouldn't have raised this if I was Button or MP1, either. If I was MP2 I would have raised the flop.

You played the hand exactly as you should have, and you obviously know you did. Why would you ask "is there any way I could know I was beat here"? Of course you couldn't. Things like these happen sometimes, and you just have to live with it.

I had a very similar hand recently. I raised UTG with K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], got cold called by a MP2. Everyone else folded.

So it's heads up, and I bet out each street, with him calling.

Board was: 6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

I guess he might have been scared of the river, but I was shocked when he turned over Ah As

After the shock, I mentally thanked him for playing the way he did.

Don't give bad advice just to make someone feel better (especially since OP's post was just a bad beat in disguise).

On the other hand, OP certainly could have lost more money on this hand. Both MP2 and Button should have raised the flop--for different reasons--and OP should then 3-bet. On the third hand maybe that forces MP1 to fold and OP ends up winning the hand.
