Raising all-in is acceptable here, but my preference is just to call the underbet, then fold if someone behind me puts in a big raise.

By calling, you are exploiting the mistake made by MP1 in making such a small flop bet.

This is a great question because I too have wondered how to play flush draws in NL Hold'em. In limit hold'em, I'm normally very agressive, raising post-flop, and betting the turn if the pot is offering sufficient odds. However, in NL, I would tend to agree with the previous poster, call the small bet, but fold if a person puts in a bet large enough to ruin my pot odds.

I just can't believe that they ALL called??? I'm fine with your AI here. The min raise was made by the effective button - not all that likely he has the jack. Your bet screams "I have the Jack (but a weak kicker)" or "I have a flush draw". Based on all those checks, these two threats should be enough to scare everyone out. That it scared no one is good enough for you - 3:1 on your money and a 40% shot of taking down the pot. Though you probably lost the hand, it was damn good for you that they all called.

I don't really like the push there, the size of the overraise there really screams flush draw to a lot of the people I see on party and they call with a lot of stuff, hence when I tend to make overbets like that with tptk and two pair type hands there, I tend to get called with a lot of worse hands.
In this situation I'd call the 200 and hope to hit the flush on the turn, I'd fold to a large sized bet on the turn if I don't hit.

Thanks for the replies guys.

I hit my heart on the turn and won the pot. When MP1 bet the turn everyone folded, he showed 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] wtf???

So check/call a small flop bet and fold the turn UI to a decent sized bet is prob the way to go. If i knew everyone would fold or 3 or more would call id go all-in everytime
