Re: flop nuts, call or raise?
I think this is well played. Yes, BB raised PF, but with this board there aren't a lot of hands he's capping with. When you chack the flop you want a bet and a raise so you can 3 bet it.

Re: flop nuts, call or raise?
[ QUOTE ]
Pokerroom.com 1/2 10 handed - no good reads Sorry to post this type of question, but I need help with these situations. Hero is SB - 10d,8d PRE: UTG calls, UTG1 calls, 3 folds, MP3 calls, CO (poster) calls, 1 folds, Hero completes, BB raises, everyone calls. FLOP: (6 players - 6 BB) 7h, 9d, Js) Hero checks, BB bets, 2 folds, MP3 raises, CO calls, Hero 3-bets, call call, call. Do I want to just call there to induce more action on the turn, or is this an easy 3-bet? Sorry for the crude format...Macintosh. [/ QUOTE ] Once it is raised on the flop, stand on the table and fire chips in. |

Re: flop nuts, call or raise?
You can still be outdrawn by a bigger straight or a runner-runner flush or a full-house. So raising can hopefully get rid of weak draws and you'll be left with ppl playing a pair of J's or two pairs or maybe OESD. There are 15 cards that can be scary (J - 9 - 7 and T - 8) plus the backdoor flush outs plus 4 queens if someone stays with KT. Protect your hand.
