Default Playing together

My wife and I like to play at the same table sometimes. Was wondering what other people thought of this. We don't cheat or talk to each other during the hand, but having her on my left essentially puts me in the cut-off one extra round per orbit.

Assuming she's the weaker of the two of us, should I put her on my left or my right? If I act first then she can get out of my way. If she acts before me than her occasional loose bets will be more likely to move towards me around the table. She hates it when I tell her I have a penchant for loose women.

So far, when I have played with her at my table I have fared better, she has fared worse, but we don't have enough statistics to demonstrate we are positive players separately, let alone together.
