Default Big pot OOP with KK

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (8 handed) converter

saw flop|<font color="#C00000">saw showdown</font>

SB ($4.85)
<font color="#C00000">BB ($30.05)</font>
UTG ($40.90)
<font color="#C00000">UTG+1 ($12.60)</font>
<font color="#C00000">Hero ($20.65)</font>
<font color="#C00000">MP2 ($37.75)</font>
CO ($7.05)
Button ($7.35)

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">UTG+1 raises to $0.5</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $2.5</font>, MP2 calls $2.50, <font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, BB calls $2.25, UTG+1 calls $2.

Flop: ($10.10) A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(4 players)</font>

BB checks and UTG+1 checks. What's your plan?

(edit: not really OOP I guess, I was thinking preflop)

Definitely check and hope MP2 goes along with your plan to get a free card for your nut flush draw. A small bet and a couple calls also gives you the odds to keep playing.

How much heat can we stand from MP2?

Here's the interesting things about the hand to me:

***I raised big before the flop. Clearly I'm marked with a big hand.

***2 checks to me. This is not the kind of flop that someone would plan a check raise on unless they had flopped the flush (extremely unlikely), or perhaps had AK with the K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] -- but I have the K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] so that is impossible.

***if either BB or UTG+1 had flopped a set, I would be facing a large bet. They would have to be concerned about an AK with the K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].

So it boils down to really me vs MP2. What's the fold equity here looking like? I feel that checking here is just telling MP2 to take the pot -- how much can we call if he bets?

If I bet, how much are we looking for here? Half pot? Obviously if I get raised all-in, then I have to fold. But if I get called somewhere, then what if the turn is a blank? Now the pot is even bigger but my draw is now weaker with only one card to come. Any amount of betting + calls behind me starts to swell the pot to the point where I'm getting close to committed.

Sometimes I feel I play these hands too weak.

1) Bet standard sized bet, bluffing the A. It's possible they don't have the A or don't have a high enough [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] kicker to call to SD.

2) Overbet the pot, planning on taking it right down and there. Bluff protecting vs the flush draw. If someone calls, you have a disguised nut flush if it hits and hopefully your opponent will overplay his lower flush.
