Agreed. Leaving yourself only a 2 buy-in margin for error between limits, you risk jumping up and down in limits a lot. 20 buy-ins is generally considered the minimum for moving up in NL.

You seem like a competant player. Why not buy in for more to begin with (500-1000?) and start at a higher limit?

This is not true. I can cash out from both Party and Pokerroom using Switch straight in and out of my UK Sterling bank account. Cashing out usually takes a couple of days to come through.
