Default best places to play NL in western US?

In a few weeks (end of April), I am going to be taking a roadtrip from Vancouver, Canada down to LA and Las Vegas and all points inbetween (plus probably Utah) and I plan on playing quite a bit of poker along the way.

I basically wanted to find out all the possible places I could play. I really prefer playing NLHE as opposed to LHE, so points of interest with NLHE are what I am looking for (if there is a nice place with only limit, i might make a stop). Also, I am looking for games in the $100-$1000 buy-in range (or unlimited buy-in if the buy-ins tend to be in a similar range, such as the Golden Nugget's $1-2 game).

So how about it? Any suggestions on places to play in Cali, Oregon, Wash., Nevada, etc.? I have already been to Vegas twice so you can exclude casinos there, and I am also familar with some of the LA casinos with NL games such as Bike, Commerce, and Hustler (however, I haven't actually played at these 3 casinos, so any suggestions/advice/experiences about them would be great too). Feel free to mention anywhere else.

thanks in advance for responses

Default Re: best places to play NL in western US?

I play the $100 buy-in game at Commerce on a regular basis. The blinds are 2/3. They have a $200 buyin game (3/5) and just started spreading a $400 buyin game (5/10). Of course they have higher limit games, but those are spread in the high-roller section so I'm not familiar with them.

The 2/3 NL game seems pretty soft to me, but then again, I only play on Saturday and Sunday. You just have to be careful with table selection. It's pretty easy to tell who the good players are, so if you see 6 or 7 of them at your table ask the floorman for a table change.

There is enough fish around (including me sometimes ) to get your monsters paid off, so playing supertight is a viable strategy. OTOH, most of the time the game is pretty loose/passive (i.e. 4-7 limp to the flop) so suited/unsuited connectors can be played profitably if you are good enough.
