Late tourney play and you finally get a hand
Out of 300 field down to around 120. Cash at 30.
50/100 blinds MP with 3 limpers Raise to 400 with KK all fold except 1 limper. oh yea...I have 2200chips. What do you think of this raise? Should I have raised less to induce action or limped? Or raised more to take blinds/induce an all-in. |

Re: Late tourney play and you finally get a hand
Well for starters you don't mention how much the others have. If they had 0-1000 chips it may have been ambitious. But if they had a similar stack to yours then you were at a tight table or people who didn't want to gamble at the time.

Re: Late tourney play and you finally get a hand
I have an average stack. There are 2 stacks at my table around 4k. Most are below me with 1500 or less

Re: Late tourney play and you finally get a hand
With that many limpers, I'd raise to 700ish.

[/ QUOTE ] I know you cant be serious about limping so I'm going to ignore that possibility. Raise to at least 6 bbs. Hope to get action, otherwise at least you get all the blinds. 400 simply isnt a large enough raise. theres 550 in the pot already. ur giving anyone who wants to call 3-1 to hit their set if they have a small pocket, or their ace if they have Ace-whatever. Charge more. |
