I called - and he showed J9s - two pair.

Question is that since I showed strength pre-flop and on the flop should I have not given more respect to his push?

I know it's easy to say that after I have lost but, for future times, would calling still be the right action in the same situation?

From my experience at 6 max, 30% VP$IP is not all that loose. With that said, 22/99/even J9 are not out of the question, I see low pocket pairs played exactly this way all the time at this level.

If Villan was a maniac, I'd call, but 30% at 6max is not very loose to me. Maybe it's weak, but I fold.

you said he's slightly loose and aggressive. this is a play that could easily be made by a short-stacked AJ, KJ, QJ, KK, QQ, JT, TT, and any two diamonds...

i think that you're still ahead here enough, and his stack is short enough, that calling is correct...

30% VPIP is not very loose for 6-max. There are a few reasonable hands he can have here that beat you, or he could be full of it. Even if he is loose that doesn't mean maniac postflop.

I like to be the aggressor, I'm not a big fan of calling allins with 1 pair. If villain had a full stack at the start I'd say fold, but here you're getting ~1.5:1 so i'd say it's close.
