I nearly punched a table captain in the face...
I really don't know what to say, and no, this post isn't going anywhere in particular.
I played in a friendly game tonight, and there was this guy who was the biggest table captain I have ever met. Not only did he talk as though he had seen it all and done it all, but also proceeded to talk about the possible hands and outs on the board, including reads he had on opponents, even when he was not in the hand. Since I had never played there before, I didn't really speak up, but I am still angry about this...unnecessarily. I'm just wondering if I've lost my mind...I find that I cannot stand table captains...they are officially a pet peeve of mine. Usually, I'd let my cards do the talking. But, I was running bad and not playing my A game(or B game, for that matter). So...any ideas on things you can say to shut these guys up? Yes...I know this has been talked about before... P.S. This is as much a rant as anything. Don't flame about the technical aspects...I'm aware that I should be playing better than I was.

[/ QUOTE ] This kind of stuff is obviously against the rules. But since it was a 'friendly' game, I don't know what to tell you. They basically get to make their own rules. I also understand why you wouldn't want to say anything in this situation. My advice is to not play in this game again if you don't like it, because it may be too much of a hassle to get anything changed.

I hate this, too. What I would do is ask him very politely not to make comments on hands that are still contested, especially if he's not in the pot.
If that didn't work, I'd go to whomever was hosting the game and ask them to speak with him. And if that doesn't work, just don't play with him/them. Blowing your stack ain't gonna solve the problem in any case. Crooked
