Iowa card rooms - short notice, whats good?
Hey guys I got about 2 hours to find a decent card room in iowa for me and a few friends tonight at like the 10/20 level. Low/mid NL is also good like 2-5ish. Anyone know what's good in Iowa? I've heard nothing but, if they all suck..which one sucks least?

I know Davenport has some river boats, I've never been there but some guys from work have played there. |

Harrah's has 1/2 NL, but I believe it is only on Tuesdays. Prairie Meadows offers limit HE from 3/6 and up. Meadows has a 9 table poker room. Not sure how big Harrah's is. There is also a 4 table poker room at Lakeside in Osceola (just south of Des Moines). Most of those regulars have made there way to Meadows. |

If you're in the eastern half of the state, there's the Indian casino in Tama...
http://www.meskwaki.com/poker.html And Isle of Capri in Bettendorf (IL border) http://www.isleofcapricasinos.com/Be...=en&aid=00 Not sure if they offer higher limits or NL, though. MP |

MP [/ QUOTE ] They just started $100 max buyin NL on Wednesday nights. Though the blind structure is a little wierd at the moment (3/5). Hopefully either the buyin or the blinds will change soon. Friday afternoon they have 10/20 Dealer's Choice (HE and O8). Thursday and Saturday afternoons they have 20/40 Dealer's Choice (HE and O8). 6/12 DC and 6/12 HE can be found on Tuesdays and sometimes other days. Occationally other games will spring up now and again. Just try to organize something and see what happens. -Travas |

You can also check out Catfish Bend in Burlington/Fort Madison. I'm in Peoria too and that's where I play. They spread 5/10 holdem and the NL tourneys are super soft.
