Default Re: [Live Games]How often do you use custom card protecters?

I use a $1 chip from the casino I'm playing in. It reminds me to toke the dealer.

I have several gold coins, silver dollars, challenge coins, other casino chips, artwork chips, and frankly it's just a waste to cary them up to the casino. The white (or blue) chip works perfectly.

One day I was out of whites, and I put a green chip on the cards. An ep player noticed and said something as he mucked. The table folded around to me in the BB and I pocketed the SB's $15. Who knows what I had, I generally don't look in the blinds.

i have noticed that people who use card protectors are generally bad players

To be honest I hardly think this guy was a "bad player." In the 2004 Main Event he finished up placing well into the money and is one of the more respected high stakes players in town.
