Pregame
I have a ritual where, before any poker game I play a game of chess against a friend or against myself. I feel it wakes me up, mentally, and I feel that this gives me a EV+... even if it's just superstitious, I feel that going in with a positive attitude and confidence is EV+... Anyways, I've recently been trying my hand at a couple of other pregame games, and I was curious if anyone had any suggestions. Also any comments or thoughts on pregame rituals is welcome, even if it's for comic effect.

Read over any part of a poker book where you don't feel like you have it 100% down. It'll get you thinking about the game and how to play it.

I opened up the poker program and just sat there grinning for a long time, then I just didn't care about playing poker.
