Sorry, for purposes of this thread, poker doesn't count.

[/ QUOTE ]

If you're making good money off poker, look for a cool place to volunteer. You can get much cooler jobs if you don't want money for them.

The best part time job i ever had was working in a bread bakery- 3am-9am (someitmes 11) shifts during the summer and i was just getting out of work to enjoy the day as most people were on their way into the office. The bakers were all pleasant nutjobs, and the work (kneading the dough) went at a fast enough pace to not get dull. Put on some loud music, work till customers start showing up, then go home without dealing with any of them.

How about dealing poker? They're busier on Fri and Sat nights--work those two nights, and probably make as much as you could delivering pizzas for a week.

Waiter at a decent restaurant, a bartender, or simply a barback.

I worked doing deliveries for a summer. It was definitely a fun job. Pretty much just driving around all day. If you enjoy driving and meeting lots of random people for very brief periods of time I highly suggest you get a job like this.

Working in a hardware store (like Home Depot) is also fun if you can stand dealing with the public on a daily basis.

Used CD store has to be my number 1 favourite part time job though. Tough to come by, but definitely good times.

I can never work in retail or a similar store again. I can make over $10/hr by just busing tables. No way Im ever going to work at a Blockbuster or Home Depot and make $8/hr.
