*EDIT - I posted in WRONG FORUM, can this be moved?
Hey guys, I'm fairly new to 100NL as I've just moved from SNG's. I'd appreciate any input. ***** Hand History for Game 1805026655 ***** $100 NL Hold'em Seat 9 is the button Total number of players : 9 Seat 4: DSeattle ( $152.75 ) Seat 6: JHJMugsy ( $186.45 ) Seat 10: PPokerPro ( $39.35 ) Seat 8: HERO ( $122.8 ) Seat 2: geeshi ( $141.45 ) Seat 7: opeth1983 ( $64.75 ) Seat 3: AFRANK ( $100.15 ) Seat 9: Dyln41 ( $45.5 ) Seat 5: txcowboy29 ( $145.65 ) VILLAN posts small blind [ $0.5 ]. geeshi posts big blind [ $1 ]. Holecards: Dealt to HERO [Jh Jc] CALL AFRANK, $1 FOLD DSeattle FOLD txcowboy29 FOLD JHJMugsy FOLD opeth1983 RAISE HERO, $5 FOLD Dyln41 RAISE VILLAN, $8.5 FOLD geeshi FOLD AFRANK CALL HERO, $4 Flop: [4h 5s Td] BET VILLAN, $7 FOLD HERO VILLAN does not show cards. VILLAN wins $26 OK, before anything. I have 140 hands with VILLAN. His vpip is 20.27%, pfr is ZERO. What I would normally do is re-raise and fold if they played back. But the pre-flop re-raise and flop bet couldn't feel any fishier so I opted to fold. Is this a standard fold against him? Or should I have re-raised and folded to another raise? I was considering just calling the flop and see what the turn brings, I have position. But I felt like I saved atleast $7.00 by not going any further. Thoughts? |

I like it. It looks weird, but I think this is just an example of using PT well.

BRILLIANT! Don't forget to mention pressing control and c at the the same time, or it won't work...
P.S. Just to avoid being too trolly...I think this is a decent fold though I'm far from attuned to the psychology of a 100-NL player...those guys are nuts. |

When you raise preflop and then get reraised chances are the other guy has AA, KK, QQ or AK.
You can only beat one of those. Good fold. People lose their stack over and over again in situations like these. An overpair doesnt mean much here. If you want to be Mr Aggressive you could make a big reraise or move in and hope either he has AK (which is possible since he bet so small on the flop) or he will fold QQ, but I dont recommend it. |
