Re: AKo in SB hits nothing
It's pretty ridiculous that you only reraise with AA-QQ and AK sometimes. Your hand becomes defined very easily which is big trouble for you.

Re: AKo in SB hits nothing
how is it rediculous?
what does reraising with JJ or AQ do for you? |

Re: AKo in SB hits nothing
I'm going to need a more concrete answer than that.
why do I not reraise with any 2 then if I wanted to mix it up? |

Re: AKo in SB hits nothing
i'll answer that for him- In a typical loose table (which is most live tables- at AC for example- which is what I play), a small raise from the Button indicates a hand inferior to JJ or AQs- therefor, a re-raise with those hands does three things for you: (1) it implies strength, which gives you post-flop respect- both in terms of folding to your bets, and checking; (2) It gets more money in the pot when you have the best hand; (3) it may make the original raiser fold, giving you $ without having to even see a flop.

Re: AKo in SB hits nothing
didn't realize it was minraise. thought it was dollar blinds
in that case, reraise is absolutely the right move. |

Re: AKo in SB hits nothing
If I know my opponent is only reraising with 3 hands, I will either get away from the hand cheaply or take a lot of their money. I'm not saying reraise with any two but you should mix it up, other pairs, suited connectors, etc.
