Bet ze flop! You gotta get the money in while you can.

River cap is great.

Also, if you want better feedback on your hands don't post results with them.

I just lost about 5 hands in the past hour, all similar to the one above and this one I'm posting:

PokerStars 0.02/0.04 Hold'em (9 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is UTG with K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. MP3 posts a blind of $0.02.
Hero calls, 3 folds, MP3 (poster) checks, 1 fold, Button calls, 1 fold, BB checks.

Flop: (4.50 SB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, MP3 folds, Button calls, BB calls.

Turn: (3.75 BB) K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, Button calls, BB raises, Hero calls, Button calls.

River: (9.75 BB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)
BB bets, Hero raises, Button calls, BB calls.

Final Pot: 15.75 BB

Results in white below:
BB has Qs Ts (flush, king high).
Hero has Kd Td (three of a kind, kings).
Button has Jd Kc (three of a kind, kings).
Outcome: BB wins 15.75 BB.

About -80BB for the friggen hour, lost my +80BB from yesterday.

Either I'm a fish, or just got a buncha bad beats in a row.
I know, I should have capped that first flop, but after loosing that badly, I'm started getting reluctant to make the plays. I'm taking the rest of tonight off.

I'd usually fold this one PF, KT UTG is trouble.

It's a borderline hand. According to the expected value charts I got from 10 million hands played on PP, its +EV UTG.

WLLH says to fold it early pos, SSH says to play it.

PF, open for a raise. If you can't open for a raise, fold. The presence of dead money behind you makes this doubly true, but its still true without it in there.

3-bet the turn. You have the best hand the overwhelming majority of the time.

What is your thinking on the river? Why rasie now but not the turn?

Note that had you openraised PF, the player that beat you would have been wrong to call 2 cold.

I didn't reraise the turn because I was worried he had already made his flush. Even though it's so loose at these limits, I usually don't get THAT much action, unless villan had a made hand already.

On the river I realized that what I was doing was probably against the odds, that's why I reraised here.

Do you know how to do the math here? How often will I loose to a flush in these circumstances?

And isn't my KTs UTG just a calling hand, rather than a preflop raising hand?

I don't know precisely, but I don't need to. I know that you won't lose to a flush more than 33% of the time, so you must raise.
