I feel my biggest problem is when I first start a session I am very tense. If I lose a few hand or things do not go my way I go on tilt very badly. I really press and play like a fish. However if I win a few hands I become very tough and usually have a nice winning session. Please help me fix this costly problem.

Make a conscious effort to not clench your jaw. Relax your neck and shoulders. Do not play if you can't maintain relaxation.

Obviously, the best solution is to always win the first few hands.
Redefine winning to make this possible. Instead of thinking in terms of money or pots won or lost, think in terms of play errors. If you didn't make errors in your first few hands, you won, now you can relax and play tough. If you did make errors, maybe you need to take a break. |

play at a level where the money doesnt matter to you. dont check your results regularly. instead, play because you enjoy it, and realize that in the long run you will have money than you started with. dont worry about the shortterm outcome of the game. you cant control it. if losing 50BBs in a session bothers you to a great degree, then you shouldnt be playing.
