Daytona Hold Em\'....Where every player blinds every hand..
Here is the deal.
Daytona Florida 2 straight game called Daytona Hold Em Each player blinds $2 each every round so at a 9 person table there is $18 (9 bets) in the pot beofore the first two cards are dealt. I have not played Daytona yet there but I watched it when I was there. Has anybody played this structure of hold em before? Live long and checkraise, Storm |

How is this different than holdem with an ante?
Worst. Idea. Ever. The Doc PS I take it back. The worst idea ever is actually poker for play money. |

Are you sure they weren't limping?
I've played in Daytona before (dogtrack) and never heard of this structure. |

Re: Daytona Hold Em\'....Where every player blinds every hand..
The Daytona track has several signs inside promoting the Daytona Hold Em.
I am not sure why this game was created but I suspect it was made to cater to the loose players there. Most of thge regular hold em games there have 7+ players taking the flop. I first went to Daytona a week ago, so I don't know if it is new or not. |

Re: Daytona Hold Em\'....Where every player blinds every hand..
It's been over a year since the one time I played there, so it's not necessarily new.
Did you see the game played? What happens in the preflop betting round, is the $2 live or does everyone have to call $2? How does preflop raising work? |

The Doc [/ QUOTE ] i agree, worst idea ever. wouldnt call it a blind i would call it an ante. florida is a terrible place to play poker anyways with $2max raises. you would have the whole table calling all the way to the river for sure. |

Hiya -
Our card room is in a dog track also. Yep, that is ante hold 'em. I laughed when I saw it appear and I bet my dog track borrowed the idea from the other Central Florida locations. People have won or lost hundreds of dollars. I personally stay away from it. PB |
