Default Whoa - limp/reraise

Paradise Poker 0.50/1 Hold'em (10 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is Button with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, UTG+2 calls, 1 fold, MP2 calls, MP3 calls, CO calls, Hero raises, 1 fold, BB calls, UTG calls, UTG+1 3-bets, UTG+2 calls, MP2 folds, MP3 folds, CO calls, Hero calls, BB calls, UTG calls.

Flop: (20.50 SB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (6 players)
BB bets, UTG folds, UTG+1 raises, UTG+2 calls, CO folds, Hero calls, BB calls.

Turn: (14.25 BB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4 players)
BB checks, UTG+1 bets, UTG+2 calls, Hero calls, BB calls.

River: (18.25 BB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4 players)
BB checks, UTG+1 bets, UTG+2 calls, Hero calls, BB folds.

Final Pot: 21.25 BB

The limp/reraise here shocked me, UTG+1 seemed to be decent up to this point. I've seen people do this with less than aces though and I'm even ahead of kings on the flop (only a big dog to AA/AK of the hands I can put him on I think) so I decide I'm either way ahead or way behind and decide to call down (pot is way too big to fold here in my opinion). If the big blind had bet and utg+1 raised again on the turn I might have folded. Any advice?

Thanks!

No real advice here, since your analysis covered what I would have typed. I think you played it fine.

Cool, thanks for the feedback!

Here are the results in case anyone was interested:

Results in white below:
UTG+1 has Kd Jh (high card, ace).
UTG+2 has As 2c (one pair, aces).
Hero has Ad Qc (one pair, aces).
Outcome: Hero wins 21.25 BB.

yeah i think BB did your betting for you and the raise shows AA, AK, maybe KK. and it is way to big to fold. sounds good.

Edit: wow, i was waaay off.

I think I probably would've reraised the flop. The pot is very large already (which means you should give slightly less respect to others' bets and raises) and you need to try to protect your hand. A good player would play KK the same way on the flop in a pot that large. You know its not likely he has AA due to two of the aces being accounted for already, and if you are unlucky and are against AK, you have Queen and backdoor flush outs that could bail you out.

The only time I EVER might give somebody credit for a limp re-raise this quickly is when they open-limped. You are going to see suited or connected trash 95% of the time. That raise on the flop from him is scary, but I still think I would be inclined to 3bet it, and play from there.
